As a professional memorial portrait artist, my goal is always to capture the true essence of a loved one and create a hand‑painted memorial portrait that becomes a timeless tribute. Recently, I completed a deeply meaningful custom portrait painting using Winsor & Newton Professional Paints on a smooth‑surface canvas. This bespoke artwork was crafted to honour a cherished individual who has passed, blending artistic technique with emotional depth.

This memorial portrait features a dark, atmospheric background reminiscent of soft, ethereal clouds, setting the tone for remembrance and reflection. Every brushstroke was chosen carefully to bring through the personality, warmth, and spirit of the subject. My aim is always to create a tribute portrait that preserves more than likeness—it preserves legacy.

As an artist specialising in realistic portrait paintings and custom remembrance artwork, I work meticulously with colour, value, and fine detail to breathe life into each portrait. These pieces are not just drawings or paintings—they’re emotional stories captured on canvas. Each bespoke artwork reflects the memories, personality, and love associated with the individual.
My hand‑drawn portraits and painted memorial artworks are crafted to stand the test of time. Whether it’s commemorating a loved one, celebrating a milestone, or marking a significant moment, a custom portrait painting becomes a lasting keepsake for families across the UK. As a portrait artist in Barnsley, I take pride in providing clients with meaningful, heirloom‑quality art.
I also offer the option to include a personalised plaque with the portrait, featuring the person’s or pet’s name. This can be crafted directly into the mount itself or added as a discreet plaque on the frame (seen Here), giving your portrait an elegant finishing touch and an even deeper sense of meaning.
